Clinical StrengthOur team at Malvern East Physiotherapy offer Clinical Strength classes supervised by our physiotherapists. We run the program in our purpose-built gym, which has a vast floor space and the latest equipment. Clinical Strength classes are available one-on-one or in small groups.

You do not have to want to be Arnold Schwarzenegger to benefit from our strength training. Strength training can increase muscle endurance, reduce injuries, help joint control, maintain a healthy body weight, improve fitness and improve bone density. When your strength improves, everyday tasks in life become easier.

We offer classes for all fitness levels. Whatever your physical condition, your health, wellbeing and physical prowess can improve by using our variety of weights, functional trainer and Keiser equipment.

Our physiotherapy professionals provide tailor-made programs, designed to prevent injury and improve fitness. We carefully structure training regimes and determine specific exercises for each client, providing participants with everything they need to reach their goals, which can range from rehabilitation and injury prevention to establishing and maintaining general fitness.

These individualised programs allow more flexibility for our clients who can participate between once and three times weekly.

Get started by booking a consultation with one of our physios who will help develop a Clinical Strength program specific to you and your history, fitness levels, goals and needs.

Your initial assessment is a perfect opportunity to identify goals and any areas of focus that you would like to address.

During your assessment, your physiotherapist will complete a thorough full body assessment.  Together, you will develop a strengthening and resistance exercise plan and begin to develop a program of exercises to reach your goals.  Your physiotherapist will even provide a range of simple exercises you can continue at home to fast-track your progress.

As our Malvern East Physiotherapy Clinical Strength programs are individually tailored to each person, Pilates is suitable for anyone, at any fitness level.

Given all our programs are fully supervised and designed by physiotherapists, you can be assured you will be exercising in the safest and most effective fashion.  Our physiotherapists will ensure correct technique to ensure you exercise in a safe and specific fashion.

Anything you feel comfortable moving in.  Please also wear enclosed footwear.

We recommend bringing along a small towel and drink bottle.  We supply all gym equipment for use during your clinical strength session.  Whilst we have a small space for storage of personal belongings, we recommend leaving larger bags at home.

Yes, depending on your level of extras cover. We have HICAPS facilities to make the private health claims for you.
